Seguimos echándole un vistazo al examen práctico de Madrid de la última convocatoria 2025 y traigo aquí una propuesta a las respuestas de las preguntas 2,3 y 7.

2. What regional variety of English is the text written in? Can you give 2 examples of this variety of English taken from the text? (0,3) 

American English. Examples: gotten (paragraph 1, line 5); period (paragraph 4, line 18)

3. What is peculiar from a morphosyntactic point of view in these expressions (pay special attention to the underlined words)? (3 x 0,2 = 0,6) 

a) “…can make the recipient ask themselves .....” (paragraph 1) 

The use in formal writing of  the plural reflexive pronoun when the antecedent or reference is singular ("the recipient").

b) “A string of question marks “does potentially communicate.....” (paragraph 10) 

The use of the operator "does" in an affirmative sentence for emphasis.

c) “...that somebody respond.....” (paragraph 10) 

The use in formal writing of the subjunctive mood without the "s" of the third person inflected tense.

7. Complete the second sentence so that it has the same meaning as the first sentence, using the word given in bold and capital letters. Do not change the words given in any way. You must use between three and five words (including the word given). (5 x 0,2 = 1)

Y tú, ¿cómo crees que debería ser el examen de práctico de una oposición a profesor de inglés de secundaria? ¿Limitarse a comprobar una competencia lingüística mínima equivalente a un nivel C1 por ejemplo o incluir preguntas rebuscadas o de mucho nivel para que sirva de criba? Entendiendo la criba no tanto a las razones que suelen darse en los grupos de Telegram y demás de no estabilizar a "demasiados" interinos sino por razones prácticas de plazos y costes: los tribunales trabajan bajo mucha presión por los plazos y sería materialmente imposible cumplir con los plazos si se evaluara -por ejemplo- al 80% de los opositores de la defensa.
